Summary: It was a game for her, but something much more severe to him.  Tom and Hermione elite jewel thieves and there seems to be a bit of a rivalry, and maybe something more.  “Don’t think I’m letting you get away with that, darling.” Prompt from @weestarmeggie17 on Tumblr.

Pairings: Hermione/Tom

Tom listened closely as deft fingers moved the combination this way and that.  He was an artist when it came to safes, and there was a sense of peace as he worked with a single focused mind.

He smiled to himself as the safe opened to him like they all did and opened it greedily.  He was after the famous diadem of Ravenclaw, and he had finally tracked it down to the old bitty’s collection.  He was just a breath away from getting it after a five-year search.

When he opened the door, his eyes moved over stacks of jewels and frowned as he didn’t see it at first.  Then he smiled again as he noted the velvet box tucked into the back was just the right side.

He reached passed all the other treasures and picked up the box with delight.  It was finally his! He opened the box happily and almost growled as he found a led weight and a red notecard with two simple words on it.

Thanks Honey

He was going to kill her.  He recognized the little calling card, and it wasn’t the first time he had gotten a little note from her.  But this time she had gone too far.

He took the card and shoved the rest of the box back into its place.  Oh no, he wasn’t leaving any evidence for the cops to find when someone finally noticed the diadem was missing.  No no. She was his.

She was in a good mood as she entered her London flat.  It was good to be home, and she couldn’t help but be pleased with herself that she had gotten to yet another piece right out from under his nose.

She went to put down her luggage only to find him sitting in a chair in her living room as if he owned the place.

“Tom.” She said casually as if his presence so soon after her heist didn’t rattle her in the least.

“Where is it, darling?”  He asked without taking his eyes off of her.

“Where’s what?”  She asked in an innocent tone, but she couldn’t keep the smirk from her lips.  She did love to rub things in just a little

“You know what.”  He said as he stood slowly with a menacing aura around him.  “Don’t think I’m letting you get away with that, darling.”

“Already with the buyer honey.”  She said sweetly, as she decided to make herself a drink.  There was nothing he could do to her.

Tom tried to contain his displeasure with the situation, but it was pretty clear he would be out for blood.

“It’s only business; you shouldn’t take it so personally.”  She said as she poured them each a sifter of excellent brandy.  Only the best for the two top jewel thieves in the world.

“I want the diadem.”  He said as he took the glass from her as he tried to control his anger.  “You’re going to tell me exactly who this buyer is.”

She rolled her eyes and shook her head.  “And have them think that I open my mouth?”  She shook her head.

His free hand slipped effortlessly around her neck, and he squeezed just a bit. Her breath caught as she looked into his burning eyes.

“You’re going to tell me, Hermione.”  He told her, as he moved in very close to intimidate her.

“I’m really not.”  She answered as she would not be intimidated.

He downed his drink and set the glass on the bar behind her, his body leaning further into hers.  “Tell me, and save yourself a lot of pain.”  He promised in a low whisper against her ear.

“That’s not how this game works Tom.”  She answered with a smirk before nipping at his ear playfully.

“Have it your way, but know, this time you’ve pissed me off.”  His other hand moved into her curls before he pulled her into a savage and violent kiss.

‘Ello Everyone!  So I have been here and there and everywhere when it comes up updates.  I have been sucked into the hole that is drabbles lately as you may have noticed.  I wrote a slightly longer very odd story I have also added to the side called The Nine Lives of Hermione Granger.  Though it is pretty much just a series of drabbles.  One other thing I did today you may notice is a broke the short story section up into sub-categories to make it easier to navigate.  The near future doesn’t look like I will reliably be able to post either so I have been posting when I can.  I hope none of you are mad at me I will do my best I promise!

“What are you doing here?”  Hermione’s voice sounded a bit confused, but not exactly upset at the sight of Tom in the restaurant.

It seemed she always ran into him at the oddest places outside of school; at the grocery store, her laundromat, sometimes even during her morning run.  But to find him halfway across the country, away from school, it was just sort of unsettling.

“Visiting a friend.”  He replied casually, as he gave her his always charming smile.  “Is that the boyfriend?”  He asked motioning with his head towards the table she had just retreated.

“Maybe.”  She said sounding unsure as she looked back at Ronald Weasley dressed up in his best jacket and tie.  He looked uncomfortable, and the restaurant was a place he didn’t seem relaxed.

“Maybe?”  Tom asked raising an eyebrow at her, his careful expression of amusement with her statement strained as if he was holding back something more.  “Why so unsure?”

“I think he’s going to purpose.”  She said, and she really couldn’t read emotion in her voice, was it nerves or unease?  The moment he had talked talking she had excused herself to the bathroom.  She wasn’t sure how she felt, and now seeing Tom, it was all so weird.  “Sorry Tom, I was on my way to the loo.”  She said not wishing to be in this strange moment for any longer.

“Of course.”  He said and bowed her head as she headed back to his table with some pretty blond who looked a little amazed when he sat down with her.

When she came out of the bathroom, Tom was there again, this time out of sight of the rest of the restaurant.  “You should say no.”  He told her before she had a chance to question why he was there.

“What?”  She asked frowning up at him.

“When he asks you, you should say no and break up with him.  He is no good for you.”  He said as if she had asked his opinion.

Tom and she were bairly what she would call friends.  He was just a guy that was around a lot, a guy she did enjoy talking to about school, but nothing so close as would warrant his opinion about her love life.

“You don’t even know him.”  She said finding herself defensive of her high school boyfriend who decided to skip University.  They didn’t exactly have much in common anymore, but there was no way for this near stranger to know any of that.

“I’ve seen his type.” He said taking a step closer to her.  “He’s not smart enough for you.  You have ambitions, and he will be happy to live with his parents for the rest of his life.”  Tom explained as he reached out and brushed a curl from her face.

“You don’t know me either Tom.” She said feeling odd now about how close the man felt was appropriate to get to her.

“I see you, Hermione.  I think I may be the only person who knows you are all.”  He said as his fingers down her cheek.  “I’m the only one that could keep up with that mind of yours.”

Hermione frowned as she stepped back into the wall to try to get away from him.  She didn’t know what to say to any of this, and everything suddenly felt very wrong.  Tom was always around, but she had passed that off before as the fact they had similar habits, but now she started to catch things she had brushed off before.

It was in the way he always spoke to her like they had some shared secret like they had been good friends forever.  He always talked like he knew her better than he should.  And now he was standing in a back hallway of a restaurant half across the country, and she shook her head as her eyes went wide.

“Are you stalking me, Tom?  Did you follow me here?”  She asked as the horror of that realization hit her in full.  Her eyes darted around for a clear exit; she needed to get away from him, she needed the safety of other people.

“Of course I followed you, who knows what would have happened if I didn’t come,”  he said shaking his head as if this was simple fact, and he had been right to follow her.  “You might have even agreed to marry that imbecile.”

“You can’t do that Tom.”  She said slipping to the side as she worked to get out of his reach.  He stepped right back into her way as a frown crossed his face.  “You can’t just follow people around without their consent.”

“But I’ve already decided your mine.”  He said clearly annoyed with her reaction.  “We’ve had enough of this pretending; there is no one else out there good enough for me.”

“You don’t get to decide for me.”  She snapped as she was done trying to play cool.  “I get to decide who I’m good enough for and if I want..”  She started before he pressed forward cutting the rest of her words off with a crushing kiss.

She was too upset to enjoy even a second of his skills with his lips; she only knew she had not agreed to kiss him and tried to push him off.

“Hermione?”  Ron’s voice flooded her with relief.

“Pardon me,” Tom said turning to eye the other man.  “You’re bothering us.”  He said making a shooing motion.

“Yeah.  Right.”  Ron said, and she saw a deadness in his eyes as if his whole world had broken around him.

“Ron!”  She yelled trying to push past Tom as her boyfriend retreated from the situation, but he kept her from leaving the circle of his arms.

“Forget about him, Hermione.  I told you, you belong to me now.”

“I’m just here to get my stuff; then I’ll be out of your way.”  The woman said as she purposely didn’t look at her ex on the hotel bed with three women she could only describe as supermodels.

She could feel four sets of eyes on her as she gathered her things.  She didn’t look up as she heard movement from the bed and so was surprised when Tom held out a sweater.

“You’re the one that said I should enjoy my groupies.”  He said in his cold tone.

“Well, it looks like you are taking my advice.”  She answered keeping the hurt from her voice. She could hear the girls started to leave the room and shook her head.  “No reason for you to go.  I’m leaving.”  She said as she moved to pick up more of her scattered items.

“We need to talk about this.”  He said as she waved the other girls away like they meant nothing to him.

“I’m not doing this Tom, I can’t compete with that, and you know what.  I don’t want to.”  She said waving at the first figures behind her.  “I don’t want you staying with me out of some obligation from University.”

“You are the dumbest smart person I know.”  He growled pulling her, so she was forced to look up at him.  “You think you’re an obligation?  You think I would keep anything I didn’t want?”  He asked looking at her with blazing eyes.

“I think she jumped at them pretty fast!”  She yelled back as she waved at a now-closed door as the women had been smart enough not to get in the middle of this fight.

“YOU FUCKING TOLD ME TO FUCK THEM!”  He screamed waving his hand in the same direction.  “You said you wouldn’t stay unless I at least tried being a normal guy.”  He reminded her his voice lowing just a bit.

“I didn’t think you would do it.”  She growled not stepping back from the much taller dark figure in front of her.

“You told me you would leave!”  He repeated as if that explained everything.

“I WANTED TO GIVE YOU A WAY OUT!”  She screamed back, angry tears running down her face.

“I DON’T WANT A WAY OUT!”  He screamed back before he pulled her in for a kiss.

She pulled out of the kiss quickly and glared up at him, still fierce in her anger as she tried to figure out what he even meant.  “But you…”  She motioned to the bed.

“You said you were going to leave if I didn’t sleep with a few groupies.”  He felt like he was repeating himself.  “So I slept with them, and now you have to stay.”

“You can’t want to be after you had…”  She waved at the door once again.  “…three women like that.”  She said looking up at him and shaking her head.

“That’s the problem! You don’t get it! You don’t understand! You are the one thing I desire above anything else! It is you! All I want is you!”  He said slowly, as he pulled her into another kiss and worked to make all her doubts disappear.

Word Games

Summary: The Head Girl is not pleased with what the Head Boy has been up to.  A quick little short that doesn’t really deserve its own page.

Pairings: Hermione/Tom

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.

Everyone watched her as she walked purposefully over to the table where the Head Boy had set himself up a fort of books.  It was nearing the end of the school year, and people knew better than to interrupt him while he was studying for his NEWTs.  Usually, he was the favored authority to go to for support and troubles, but while he was studying, he tended to transform into a monstrous creature that would bite the head off of anyone to go near his sanctuary.

The Head Girl was the only brave enough to purposeful interrupt his study time, and she did not look at all pleased.

“What did you do?”  She asked in a deadly tone that played with friendliness.

“Go away.”  He said without looking up.  In turn, he was the only one brave enough not to give the Head Girl precisely what she wanted when she wanted it.

“I thought we had an arrangement?”  She asked pursing her soft pink lips that usually mesmerized the men she confronted.

He sighed and sat back in the chair to give her a none to pleased look.  He knew most of the boys in the school would fall all over themselves to get her exactly what she wanted, but he was not so affected.

“Which arrangement?”  He asked sounding tired.

“I let you study in peace, and you ignore what my friends are up to.” She said as she moved around the table with the grace of a cobra stalking its prey.

“I remember that arrangement now.”  He said nodding to himself as a smirk played on his lips.

She paused in her motion; it was never good for her plans when he got that smile on his face.  “Than why did you give not one, but two of them detention this evening.  I needed them tonight.”  She explained as she tried to find the trap she had missed.

“You made me swear, I would ignore all your friend’s goings-on, and in exchange, you would let me study.  It seems to me you’re the one breaking our arrangement.”  He said most pleased with his genius.

“Only because you broke it first darling.”  She said narrowing her eyes at him.

He leaned in to close more of the distance between them.  “We both know I’m your only friend, Riddle.”  He whispered smirking up at her with delight in his eyes.  “I was ignoring myself completely.”

She opened her mouth and closed it again as she thought about his words.  “I’m the one that is supposed to trap you with word games Granger.”  She said sounding both annoyed in pleased that he had tricked her.

Dark Places

Standard

So I know this is a weird day for me to post on, but I think for a little bit we may have to get used to separate behavior.  My muse has been taking me to some pretty dark places this last week and I’ve come up with 2 short stories that go pretty twisted.

The first is called Thrall and is a story about Draco summoning a demon, who happens to me, Luna.  Though I feel like I still captured Luna in this story, she isn’t exactly as harmless as we usually think of her as.  This story has a taste of dubious consent, but in the end, both participants are willing.

The second story is called Untasted and is a story where Draco is an Unseelie fairy Knight.  He comes upon a fairy maiden, Ginny, and decides to take his anger out on her with fear and pain.  Things do not go well, and I would classify this story as non-consensual.  Some pretty awful things happen to certain parts of people’s body, and I want to be clear there is no fluff here.

Now that I have those out of my system, let’s see if I can work on the things you guys enjoy.

2 Things

Standard

Hey everyone… Look I am still posting!  Go Me!  So I actually posted two things for your enjoyment today.  The first is a chapter of Face of Death.  Who else would love to see an end to that epic by the end of the year?  I know I would!  The other thing I posted was a one-shot I wrote for 2018 Tomione Smutfest with a picture for inspiration!  It is called Cascade of Affection and is standing for my Valentine’s day story for the year.  I hope you enjoy!
